From referral-dependent to an always-on outbound channel

360Partners, founded by Abbie Bowtell after a decade at Goldman Sachs and helping scale 20VC, places senior full-time and fractional professionals into banks, investment firms, fintechs and VC-backed companies across the UAE and UK.

Where they were stuck

Growth ran on Abbie's network. Strong months when introductions flowed, quiet ones when they did not. The people who actually bring senior talent in, founders and executives at financial firms, ignore generic recruiter outreach, and Abbie's calendar could not absorb prospecting on top of live placements.

What changed

Outreach now goes out every week whether or not referrals show up, and conversations with the right founders and executives land on the calendar steadily. The new site holds up in front of an ex-Goldman network, and the engagement is ongoing.

Extremely proactive, hardworking, and always thinking outside the box. He has been a huge support across multiple areas of the company, particularly in business development and lead generation.Abbie Bowtell · Founder, 360Partners

What we built

  • ICP work: which firms, at which stage, showing which hiring signals
  • Targeted lists of banks, fintechs and VC-backed companies hiring for senior roles
  • Founder-led LinkedIn outbound written in Abbie's voice, not agency-speak
  • Reply handling through to booked conversations
  • Candidate sourcing support on live mandates
  • The 360Partners website, designed and built end to end

A borrowed-audience motion built on precise lists

A US sales coaching business whose buyers live inside sales and B2B podcasts. The founder wanted to be in those conversations systematically, not occasionally.

Where they were stuck

Podcast guesting works, but researching hosts one by one eats founder hours, and template pitches get deleted by hosts who receive them daily. The motion needed lists worth pitching and copy that did not read like a mail merge.

What changed

The campaign ran on our lists and our copy, with the founder's time spent on the conversations instead of the research. His public recommendation of the work sits in the testimonials below.

He's got an incredible eye for marketing copy and is just a really great person to interact with.Founder · sales coaching business

What we built

  • Research criteria: show topic, audience fit, and activity, not just download counts
  • Targeted host lists across the sales and B2B space
  • Outreach copy in the founder's voice, angled to each show's audience
  • A repeatable process the founder could keep running

Case 03Marketing agencyReal estate & financeGTM foundationFirst clients

First conversations for an agency starting from zero

A digital marketing agency at launch, serving the real estate and finance space. No client base, no inbound, and a niche where trust decides everything.

Where they were stuck

Day one of an agency is a cold start. The founder had the skills and no pipeline, and every week without conversations was runway burned. He needed a way to get in front of genuine prospects without an audience to lean on.

What changed

The agency got its first real at-bats and found its footing. In the founder's own words, he was really happy with the results, and his recommendation is below, word for word.

Helped me immensely with outreach when I first started my agency. Really insightful and hard-working.Founder · marketing agency

What we built

  • Sharpened the launch ICP and offer before anything went out
  • Prospect lists matched to the niche the founder could win fastest
  • Outreach written and run to open the first real conversations
  • Weekly iteration on message and targeting as replies came in

100 signups in 24 hours for our own free tool

Ascent Outbound OS, a free LinkedIn pipeline tool for founders who run their own outreach. Built in-house, launched in public, live at os.getascent.co.

Why we built it

Agencies ask clients to trust the playbook. We wanted proof in public that ours works with our own name on the line: position a product, build it, launch it, and get it adopted with zero ad spend.

What changed

100 signups in the first 24 hours, entirely from organic founder-led posts. The tool runs today, feeds the agency's own pipeline, and doubles as a live demo of the work we sell.

What we built

  • Positioning and landing page, written and designed in-house
  • The full product: daily outreach loop, pipeline, real-action stats
  • Founder-led launch content across LinkedIn and communities
  • Ongoing iteration driven by real user feedback
What we would do differently: week one shipped with a segment-filter bug a user found before we did. Fixed the day it was reported, and our pre-launch testing got stricter because of it.

How a system actually gets built

02 — The build, honestly

A proper outbound system is built, not switched on. The first month is research and infrastructure, because rushing warmup is how domains get burned and pipelines get poisoned. This is what the build really looks like.

Wk 1–2

Research and foundation

ICP, positioning, messaging and list building. Nothing sends yet.

Wk 2–4

Infrastructure and warmup

Domains, inboxes, authentication, deliverability warmup. This cannot be rushed.

Wk 4–6

Live and ramping

Sending starts low and climbs as deliverability holds. First replies land.

Wk 6–8

First real signal

Enough replies to read the market honestly and adjust.

Wk 8–10

Stable patterns

Data worth trusting. Targeting, message and channel mix get tuned.

Wk 10–14

Predictable pipeline

The system runs on numbers, not hope.
